Doula in Berlin
Birthing your child means birthing yourself as a mother, too.
It would be a pleasure for me to support you, to guide and witness you and be by your side through this transformational time of your life. My deep wish is to support you in realizing YOUR unique birth experience that aligns with your values, wishes, your life situation and your visions. My part is to support you as best as I can to find the trust within, remind you of your wishes, maybe figure them out with you in the first place and to listen and hold you.
My intention is to be your sister for this time. Someone you can reach out to for practical, emotional or physical support. Someone that is there for you and will be with you through all the ups and downs of the journey if you like - I am with you through all the waves.

FAQ
What is a Doula?
A Doula (translated from Greek: female servant) is a trained professional who provides physical, emotional/mental and informational/practical support to a person before, during, and (shortly) after childbirth. My role as a doula is to help you feel safe, informed, and empowered throughout your pregnancy and birth. I am also a protector of your space and I stand up for your wishes, needs and desires.
Why choose a Doula?
Your Birth, Your Way: The Benefits of Doula Support
Research shows that having a doula can lead to shorter labors, fewer medical interventions, and a more positive birth experience.
Emotional Support: A calm, compassionate presence to help you through every high and low
Physical Comfort: Techniques to ease labor pain and promote relaxation
Advocacy: Guidance to help you make informed decisions that align with your birth plan
Continuity of Care: From pregnancy to postpartum, you’ll have someone by your side who knows you and your journey
How do I know if I need a Doula?
In this modern world we often think that we have to do it alone or with our partners. Back in the days, when we were still living in tribes, we were not doing pregnancy, birth and raising children like that. We supported each other and we were learning from each other. I see myself as a tiny part of that lost and forgotten tribe - a sister on your side for some time. Who wouldn't need/want that in this transformative time? You deserve support and care.
What does “trauma-informed” mean?
Being trauma-informed means that I understand how past experiences can influence the present moment. Whether it's past medical experiences, emotional traumas, or birth-related fears, I am here to hold space for you. My goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental environment where you feel heard, supported, and in control of your birthing experience. Furthermore, I intend to choose language that is trauma-informed and encourages you to listen to your own heart, body, and mind being and gives you space with no pressure on you and as little opportunity for triggers as possible.
Will a doula replace my partner or support person?
No, a doula is there to complement and support your partner or support person, not replace them. We work together with your support team to ensure you have comprehensive care and emotional support. Our role is to enhance your birthing experience and provide additional help as needed.
Will a doula replace my midwife?
No, you will still need a midwife. The difference to a midwife is that they are responsible and trained to take care of you and your baby from the medical side which gives them the right to support you in childbirth and deliver your baby with you. A doula and a midwife work together hand in hand and can support each other greatly.
